The recent record-breaking winter weather storm has impacted travel, businesses, schools and other plans. Unfortunately, it has also impacted our ability to collect blood and serve our local hospitals and patients in need.
If you are able, we ask that you consider finding a blood drive in the coming days and donating blood, as patients are currently waiting for a variety of blood types to become available for surgeries, routine transfusions and help with other procedures. Hospital and patient needs do not stop, even during times of inclement weather, and it is our responsibility as your community blood bank to have the inventory on hand to meet those needs.
We rely on the support of our committed donors to save lives every day. We have several blood drives coming up, so please, make an appointment and save a life today.
